2. How far in advance do I need to book an event?
As all of our events are subject to availability, we encourage you to book your event with us as soon as possible. If you are planning an event for the spring/summer time, starting the process a few months in advance is recommended. We don’t want you to miss out! That being said, if you’re looking for something to be planned for next week – give us a call, and we’ll certainly do our best to accommodate you.

3. How hard-core are the “adventures”?
You don’t need to be an Ironman triathlete to keep up with us - we have something for everyone! We offer a full range of events from leisurely wine tasting to heart-pounding white water rafting. We understand that your group will inevitably include a diverse range of fitness levels as well as excitement thresholds. We will do everything we can to accommodate you so that everyone will be able to take part and benefit from your day out with us. For example, should the majority of your group want to go kayaking to Angel Island, but there are a few that are resistant to the idea of paddling across the Bay, we can organize for everyone to meet on the island for the picnic – some in kayaks, others via a ferry. If there’s a solution, we’ll find it!

4. Do I need any prior experience or special equipment to participate in the events?
Nope. None of our events require any prior experience in the activity. Some options are for the mellow fellows and require little to no physical abilities whatsoever. Others, while perhaps more adventurous, are still geared towards first-time participants. Many people join us on events like rock climbing and white water rafting because these are the kinds of things that they have always wanted to try but haven’t had the opportunity. Most of the events begin with a brief introduction with a certified instructor who will also provide you will all the necessary gear. We try to organize our events so that everyone, no matter what their experience background, can have fun and learn!

5. How much do the events cost?
All of our adventures are custom-tailored to your organization's interests, goals and budget. Rates vary by date, time, length and other factors. To get a quote for your specific event, please contact our reservation staff at 415-505-5964. We're ready start planning your adventure today!

6. Can transportation be arranged?
Definitely! We can organize round-trip transportation from your office or any central location. Alternatively, we will provide every member of your group with exact directions to the event location. We certainly wouldn’t want to make you all walk…although that would be an adventure in itself!

7. What if I’m not from a corporation?
Absolute Adventures can organize an unforgettable day for any group. Whether you’re a private bachelor party or a group of CEOs meeting for a conference, we’ve got the event for you! Just give us a call and one of our reservation assistants can help you pick the adventure best suited to your group.

8. What is happens if we need to cancel?
First off, who would want to cancel and miss out on all the fun? Luckily, in our business, we rarely have to deal with this issue! However, we do have a policy so here is all the fine print. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit along with the signed event contract at the time of booking. The remaining 50% is due two weeks prior to the adventure. No refunds of payments made to date will be made. If a mutual decision is made to cancel an event due to bad weather, the event can be rescheduled to a future event.

9. What happens in the event of bad weather?
Well, we put in a request with Mother Nature before each and every event. It works…usually.
For those times when she chooses to ignore us, we will run the event for you rain or shine as long as it is safe to do so.
If there is a mutual decision to postpone the event to a future date, we are happy to do so, however, there are certain fees such
as venue rental, equipment rental and such that may need to be re-paid. This will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
